Introduction to Spirit Science and Consciousness

I stumbled onto the Spirit Science video series while browsing Facebook yesterday, and I couldn’t stop watching until I finished all 16 videos! They’re thoughtful, creative, and perfect for someone even slightly interested in “spirituality & consciousness.” Jordan Duchnycz, the creative mind behind these videos, has taken what can be dry, difficult to grasp concepts and turned them into 10 minute “lessons” with lots of references for those interested in diving deeper. He repeatedly mentions to take whatever he says with a grain of salt and to “experience it yourself” – it never feels like he’s shoving his beliefs down your throat.

Just give this series 11 minutes of your time and at the very least, you will be more motivated for the rest of the day than you were before you started. I’m betting that more than half of you will have seen enough to spend an additional 2+ hours watching the rest like I did. Here’s the first video:

The introduction of this video hits home as it is eerily familiar. Public protests are no longer just happening in the Middle East, they’re right down the street. Every major city in the US has Occupy Wall Street gatherings, and they don’t seem to be going away anytime soon. As for natural disaster issue, I found a report from the Civil Society Coalition on Climate Change that shows how the annual death rates from extreme weather events are on the decline, but other studies show that the number of natural disasters per year is rising.

All that aside, the most important message in this video is: “you can have, do, or be, anything you want to be.” The whole concept of a soul and consciousness is very empowering. The more conscious we become, the closer we get to achieving long-term happiness – simply by choosing to do so. Being “awake” in life would help us avoid having to wake up on the wrong side of the bed because we would never really sleeping. 🙂

Wouldn’t you rather watch a video about all of that instead of reading more? Go watch the second Spirit Science video now!
