Ravioli Oli Cares – Best Ravioli Restaurant in Oak Brook IL

My boss had a Groupon for Ravioli Oli about a month ago and suggested we use it for a team lunch because the restaurant is near our Oakbrook Terrace office. As a vegetarian, ravioli is a popular item for me whenever I go out to Italian restaurants so I thought it was a great idea after seeing their online menu. You get six ravioli pieces (plenty for lunch), choose your filling and add a sauce. If you can’t decide on just one combination, you can go with their “Oli Duet” and try two different ravioli combos, 3 pieces in each.

I went with their monthly special flavor “Roasted Red Pepper with Feta and Goat cheese paired with our zesty vodka sauce.” and it was delicious! I’m no food expert, so I won’t try to get into the details, but the key thing for me is that Ravioli Oli offers variety in a dish that usually set with 1 filling and 1 sauce option at the bottom of the typical Italian restaurant menu. I can visit them 15 or more times and still get something different – and that “something” would still be ravioli!

Tasty Ravioli Awaits You East of Oak Brook Mall

I probably hadn’t heard of Ravioli Oli because of their location – they’re just East of everything in Oak Brook and because I live out West, I usually don’t make it past Oak Brook Mall. It was a good call for them to partner with Groupon, but even when we went the place wasn’t very full (again I think because of location).

As I mentioned earlier, we were there for business and our meeting went on for a little over an hour. Just as the hour mark was passing, someone from Ravioli Oli (I suspect it was the owner) came by with free gelato for our table! Despite the fact that we had only paid half price for our meals, they still took the opportunity to show us appreciation for making their place look a little more lively.

If you know me you’ve probably heard me rave about Gary Vaynerchuk and his book Thank You Economy. In it he describes how companies need to “get back into the business of giving a f*#k” because social media is giving more power back to the consumers. A simple little gesture from the Ravioli Oli that probably didn’t cost them more than a few bucks (I’m not familiar with the margin on gelato) showed that they care, and it left an impression on me.That is why we returned there for another business lunch a few weeks later.

People like being treated well, and they will reward you for it.
